Call for Rear Window Proposals

30 September 2014

The Dunedin Public Art Gallery is excited to launch its first call for proposals for the 2015 Rear Window Exhibition programme. We are looking for innovative and diverse contemporary projects that can respond to the unique challenges and charms of this window space.

Rear Window, located at 40 Moray Place, was once an entryway and display area for a department store but it was converted into an exhibition space in 1996 when the building was transformed into the Dunedin Public Art Gallery. This glass box has included projects by Ronnie van Hout, Maddie Leech, Nick Austin, Seraphine Pick, Ruben Paterson, Seung Yul Oh, Joanna Langford and Steve Carr.

Applications open: 1 October 2014

Applications close: 7th of November 2014

* Applications are open to artists currently working in New Zealand.
